Easter Egg Hunt
Can you think of a better way to use up all those extra plastic eggs you have laying around? Fill them with treats and hide them around your yard! Do a test run inside, most dogs will figure out to gently bite them to open the eggs but some will need you to follow them around and give them a hand. If your dog has a really strong bite, you may want to opt out of the plastic eggs and just hide the treats themselves around the yard! Walk Somewhere New If you’re tired of the same old streets or trail you’re walking, your dog probably is too! Try exploring a new territory, whether it be a new neighborhood or a local trail you’ve never walked before. Your dog will love the unexpected sights and smells that come with a new place, and maybe you’ll be inspired by the change of scenery as well! Build a Backyard Obstacle Course Whether you go all out or keep it simple, your dog will love this new adventure! Build jumps, stick poles in the ground for them to weave throughout, or just grab a couple play tunnels. Use treats to encourage them along the way, and of course cheer them on! If you have kids, they my just want to try the obstacle course too! Have a Dog Friendly Picnic Choose your favorite spot on a hill or in a field (or in your own backyard) and bring along some yummy treats! Things like chicken, cheese, and sweet potato are fun picnic foods that you and your dog can both enjoy! Have a Taste Test Is your dog a picky eater? Or will they eat everything under the sun? Try giving them some new foods they have never had, to see their reactions. Some fun ideas: carrots, peanut butter, cucumber, zucchini, banana, blueberries, and yogurt but there are many more! Be sure to do your research before giving your dog a food they’ve never had, you may be surprised at what isn’t safe! Try videotaping your dog trying new things, you might just catch the precious moment your dog discovers their new favorite (or least favorite) treat!

My pet dog, Summer, is my best friend. Others may not take me seriously, but she really is the best friend one could ever ask for. Whenever I get mad, raise my voice, or ignore her all day. She is still there to comfort me. She is literally always there for me. She's always down to play. That is why I'm looking for fun activities to do with her this spring. I've watched some dogs doing ASMR videos on YouTube and we might do that as well! Definitely trying all the fun activities you've mentioned, I can't wait.
