We had record high temperatures for July this year, and one can only expect August will be hot as well. You may be wondering, how can you keep your dog cool when you bring him outside? Here are a couple tips and tricks from us!
Stay Hydrated This one may seem obvious, but just like it’s important that you stay hydrated during the heat, it’s important your dog does too! Make sure to bring along lots of water to drink. Check the Pavement! Place your bare hand or foot (whichever is more sensitive!) on the pavement for 10 seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your dog! Keep your dog off the pavement and on the grass, or opt from booties to protect his feet (if it’s something that he is comfortable with!) Try Water Play! Whether it be a kiddie pool, a sprinkler, or a day at a dog friendly beach, try adding some water play into your schedule! Your dog might like the opportunity to cool down in the water, and if they do, it will be very cute to watch! Try Some Frozen Treats! While many companies are getting on board with the frozen dog treat trend now, it is still fun to make your own! Find some recipes online or just freeze some chicken broth in a large bowl with some toys and let them have fun trying to get them out (while they cool off!)

This book is the same one that I got for my birthday last year. I was able to read it in two days, and it was amazing. I was awake for two whole days, and that is not overstating it. I think that people need to go and read this book, life for real. If you guys still have no idea that this book exist, then you need to go and order it now, they even offer free shipping nowadays.
